NSW Home Energy Saver Loan
A zero-interest loan of up to $15,000 for energy upgrades in Sydney
The NSW Government has launched the Home Energy Saver program to help households across New South Wales reduce their energy bills. If you are thinking about solar, a battery, or other home energy upgrades, this program could cover a significant portion of the cost with a zero-interest loan, so you pay back exactly what you borrow and nothing more.
Sydney Solar and Electrical are approved suppliers under both Plenti and Brighte, the two finance providers currently operating under the Home Energy Saver program. That means we can set up your loan, handle the paperwork, and get you moving without you needing to navigate multiple providers or government portals yourself.
What is on offer
Zero-interest loan
Up to $15,000 with no interest charged. You pay back exactly what you borrow, spread over a repayment schedule agreed with your finance provider.

How does the loan process work
Step 1: Assessment
Contact us to arrange a free assessment. We look at your property, your current energy setup, and what upgrades would make the most sense for your household and budget.
Step 2: Quote
We provide you with a fully itemised quote showing the upgrade cost, any applicable rebates such as the federal battery rebate or NSW PDRS incentive, and the loan amount. You take your time reviewing it and decide if you want to proceed.
Step 3: Loan application
Once you are ready, we connect you with either Plenti or Brighte, whichever finance provider suits you. We share a pre-populated referral link so most of the details are already filled in. You provide proof of property ownership, household income details, and complete a loan serviceability assessment.
Step 4: Approval and installation
If your application is approved, we agree on an installation date that suits you. Our own qualified team handles the installation from start to finish. After installation we walk you through how everything works.
Step 5: Repayment begins
Your finance provider confirms the installation is complete and pays us on your behalf. Your zero-interest repayments then begin according to your loan agreement.
Why use Sydney Solar and Electrical for your Home Energy Saver loan
We are approved suppliers under both Plenti and Brighte, which means you are not locked into one finance provider. We will recommend the one that best suits your circumstances.
Every installation is carried out by our own qualified team, not subcontractors, and is fully SAA-accredited and NETCC approved. We handle all rebate paperwork, STC assignments, and loan referrals on your behalf. You get one point of contact from quote through to aftercare.
